Half-Moon House
This house was a deep collaboration with both the clients and the site. Responding to an equally detailed brief, every detail of the home was carefully considered. Through models, detailed drawings, and on-site work, this project is a hands-on exploration of design and construction. The project explores the potential of pine wood as a structural timber through innovative techniques such as glu-lamination, finger joining, and composite metal detailing. The natural wood complements with Indian patent Stone, a cast-in-situ handmade material, to craft an inviting, warm environment that merges with the fabric of the village.
This work is designed and executed as the project architect alongwith Yash Korat as part of Ini Chatterji and Associates.
